Social development is a crucial part of raising confident, well-adjusted Golden Retrievers. One of the most important things you can do for a growing puppy is socialize. At Strike Golden, our socialization program includes exposure to a variety of environments, people, and everyday experiences.
Our puppies interact with family members and visitors. They go on car rides, walks in the wagon, and play in our yard while experiencing common household and outdoor sounds such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and trimmers. We closely monitor and guide them during these experiences, helping them learn that new situations and humans are safe and positive.
These early weeks are critical for building strong learning capabilities and lowering fear thresholds later in life. Each puppy is observed individually, and we tailor our approach based on their personality—timid puppies receive gentle encouragement, while more outgoing puppies are guided in ways that challenge and engage them. Our goal is to set every puppy up for success and help them grow into confident, happy adults.
